Nothing on you VS Nothing on Me

You know that song by B.O.B, Nothing on you, I lovedddddd that song when I first heard it. I had it on playback for probably hrs lol. When I like a song, I kinda go overboard until I get sick of it...then I never want to hear it again...sometimes.
ANYWAYS, last night JP told me to watch this vid that was based off of the original song but its called Nothing on Me. I was half looking forward to it, only because its from a song that I like. Half not wanting to watch it because he usually shows me some strange videos that he finds interest in for some odd reason. He's an oddball sometimes MOST of the time but thats what I <3 bout him :D
Now I can't stop listening to this song, I literally have been playin this over n over for a good 2 hrs now, does that make me obsessive? Idk but this song makes me happy and think about good times wit JP so why stop happy thoughts right? Until next time...ta ta!

MAC 187 Brush and Fix+

I have been dying to get the stippling brush and the Fix+ cuz I felt that with those two, my life is pretty much set lol. I recently bought the Revlon ColorStay foundation and I wanted to try it for a really long time. The moment I got home, I tried it with the foundation brush that came with the Bare Minerals kit and I'm pretty sure I put too much cuz it was lookin cakey like no other. After that I went to Jacks 99 cents store hoping I could find an ELF foundation brush for a buck but only the blush brush was left :( There wasn't a day where I didn't think about the stippling brush lol. Anyhoooo I finally got them today and I was sooooooo psyched! :D

FIX+
So I'm a bit confused bout its purpose, some say you spray it before you apply makeup so it sticks better n lasts longer and you also spray it in the end to make it less cakey. THEN others say its like the Evian spray and its just to make everything settle in the end. So does that mean that I don't need to use my primer anymore and I can just use that? Idk I guess I'll just have to try it out myself and see which works well for me. Some gals said it was greasy but I didn't get that impression, it was very refreshing and I did feel that it set my makeup pretty well. Two thumbs up for the FIX+ :D
MAC 187
This brush is $42+tax and it is indeed very pricey but I would guess that this is supposed to last me a lifetime of some sort. Plus its made in Japan so you know its good stuff. It was so exciting removing the wrapper from the brush and I swear this brush is soo super duper soft.

Application
1- I sprayed the Fix+ about 3 times so it covered all regions of my face and neck.
I learned from Enkore to put the foundation on a dish and then dip your brush in it and stipple away. I tried putting the foundation on my hand and dipping the brush onto it but then I forgot about it cuz I was in a rush to leave and realized I never took the foundation off my hand and while I was trying to scrub it off at work....soap just doesn't get it off soo I just spent the day with a blob of foundation stain on my left hand lol. But its all good, no one noticed.
2- Getting back to stippling, the application went very smoothly and evenly. Everything blended in very well from just stippling, I didn't stipple and blend because that would defeat the purpose of stippling and attempting to achieve an airbrushed look. However, my arm was gettin pretty tired from a constant "jerking" motion, hopefully I won't end up with carpal tunnel or something. :/
As far as the hard to reach places go, I didn't have a problem with the eye area or the nose crease area.
3- I waited for about 30 seconds or so and I set it with the Mineral Veil. I wanted to apply the bare minerals foundation on top of the Revlon foundation to get an even better coverage but again, I don't want to deal with cakey-ness and start over. So the Veil was just what I needed.
4- Finally I sprayed the FIX+ again in the hopes of making everything blend out and look al naturale.

Until next time...ta ta!

Oh yea and the Dazzleglass, Baby sparks, was a present from a fellow co-worker as a late bday present :D

St. Ives Apricot scrub review

Have you guys tried the St. Ives Apricot scrub yet??? If you haven't maybe its time for you to run to the drug store n grab one! I've heard many good reviews about it but I've never been a huge fan of St. Ives, I'm not sure why...just haven't used much of their products before.
So the other day I decided to buy the Apricot scrub and they had a few different ones that served different purposes, I was thinking of getting the lift n firm or anti-aging? I forgot what it was called but I decided to get Fresh Skin instead to hopefully even out skin tones and such.

The consistency was pretty thick so I had to squeeze the bottle kinda hard to get the product out n then I might have squeezed a bit too much. It doesn't say how much I'm supposed to use so I just guessed it would be like a dime side or so...though I'm pretty sure more than a dime came out. It definitely smelled like apricots at first but afterward, it didn't smell so sweet anymore, I think there's oatmeal in it? but the smell isn't that awful, it just surprised me a bit. Anyways, after I wet my face, I massaged it on my face with my fingers and it didn't feel harsh at all, it just felt like it was getting the job done. After bout a minute, as I was rinsing it off with warm water, I continued to massage it in circular motions.

In the end, after all the scrub was washed off. My face felt soooo super smooth! I couldn't believe it! :D Afterward I splashed on some toner and moisturizer. I wouldn't recommend doing this everyday because I feel that it would defeat the purpose, if there's not much dirt and oil then you're not using the scrub to its full potential. Until next time... ta ta!

Contests on youtube

Lately I've been watching more and more makeup tutorials/haul/review videos on youtube and I've stumbled upon many many contests to do all kinds of makeup looks. I'm kinda excited to get on that :D
I'm not really sure which theme I'll pick but hopefully I'll figure it out before the contest is over!
Until next time...ta ta!

No sense of direction

So I'm always getting lost when I'm wandering around the city alone. Especially when I'm required to walk to my destination that can be blocks or avenues away...
Which is why having a GPS on my blackberry would be sooo handy right? absolutely incorrect!
I don't know how I manage to get lost when I'm given directions, of course it would help if they were walking directions rather than driving directions. In any case, I get the picture.

So after getting off the 6 and saying goodbye to JP i go to Bloomingdales to get my mama the aqua fusion lancome moisturizer, along came 7 out of 14 samples of my choice AND a 10 day sample of foundation! sweeeeet. I remembered there being a Sephora around the neighborhood and I decided to use my handy dandy GPS and it pretty much told me that i was .1 miles away...
I don't remember which ave. i was on but I remember seeing 3rd ave, Lexington n 2nd and 59 st. to 66th? the point is I was wandering around aimlessly for a good 30 mins...
Ready to give up, I walked back to the train station n wanted to jus take the train to the sephoras that i know. Unable to put my pride down...if thats how the saying goes. I walked back outta the station n tried finding sephora on lexington again. I couldnt have been happier to see the container store, I stepped inside because i was so cold from the windy hitting me....nothing interesting on the 1st floor, the 2nd floor was just too far away. Minutes later, I stepped back onto the battlefield and crossed the street....then i looked up and there it was, a halo hovering over Sephora. It was one of the happiest and proudest moments :`(

ALAS...LAND HO!
So I walk into Sephora and I had to get something after my long journey and having a $50 giftcard on hand didn't hurt either. Thanks Yoshi! I really want the MAC stippling brush but thought maybe I can find something cheaper at Sephora, for $35 i think I'd rather get the MAC. Upstairs I wandered around for quite a longggg time, browsing every skincare thing they had and you know what? not one person greeted me. I'm not sure if I felt offended or relieved that I didn't have to bother with them. In the end I bought a moisturizer from the Sephora collection. I'll probably review it next week.
I was extremely confused when the cashier said it was $10 but I checked sephora.com and retail was $20 but lucky for me its on sale :D

Btw I just wanted to mention: http://m.sephora.com
it is extremely handy when you're in sephora and you're contemplating bout a purchase. All you have to do is type the 12# upc code or type the name of the product and it'll give u the reviews! absolutely awesome!
until next time.... ta ta!

OPI Jade is the new black

Eeeek so I stopped by Ricky's today n got the OPI Jade is the new black, part of their Hong Kong collection. I'm very anxious to put it on but I want my current lime-ish color to chip off more so I'll have more of a reason to put on a new color.
Anyways one of my friends noticed my so called "skill" with applying my own nail polish and now she wants me to do her and her cousins nails during break sometime this week lol. Mayb I can make a side job outta this if this turns out good. I'm always down for making cash....legally of course.

Ever since poconos, I've been highly obsessed with "Bed Rock" I swear I can listen to this allllll day! reminds me of the fun times at the poconos :( i wanna go back already. Until next time...ta ta!
