Something new for the new year...sorta

Greatest Invention...Eyeliner

I bought my first gel liner and eyeliner brush oggi at good ol' Sephora!! but first a little history....

So I've been wearing eyeliner for many many years, more than I can remember. I started off with the wooden kind, you know the ones you have to constantly sharpen and when you don't, you get poked in the eye with wood...ouch! Another thing that annoyed me was that it would always smudge and next thing you know I have raccoon eyes, which was def. not the look I was going for. But I've dealt with that for a good amount of years and one high school year idk why but my mother decided to buy a revlon eyeliner, the crayon kind and I looooved it but at that point i was still living off my allowance so it wasn't in my budget and when that was finished I resumed back to my wet seal eye liner.
In recent years...I've been using the Almay eyeliner crayon contour, its staying power is magnificent and I swore by it for a long time but I feel like it lacks in pigmentation, perhaps its because I'm using black brown rather than black. Nonetheless I would interchange between Almay, Revlon, Loreal, Maybelline and so on.
When it comes to liquid eyeliners, I feel almost helpless because it always seems to smudge before I get to finish so I've just left that alone until I feel ambitious lol.
Ever since the summer I got into the habit of watching all these makeup gurus on YouTube and noticed many of them using gel liners and I was afraid that I have would face the same problems I had with liquid eyeliners so I've put that off for awhile until today!

The other day I was watching MakeupByTiffanyD on youtube and she was talking about Buxom Lashliner and how it was pretty natural and not only does it line you eyes but it makes your lashes stronger and grow too! It wouldn't hurt to try it out so I put that down on my to buy list. Then I did some research on sephora.com to see which eyeliner brush is good since theres soo many, I jotted down a few, hoping to pass by a Sephora in the near future. I forgot why JP and I were in Times Square today but I saw a Sephora and had to drop in. Sure enough I grabbed the last bottle of Leatherette and I completely ignored my list of brushes and just grabbed the slanted liner brush right under it.

Slanted Liner Brush

The results...

I must say that I was really excited to try it and overall it was really simple because the brush was pretty much just like a regular liner pencil but better because it was slanted at a angle for more precision.
So is the staying power fantabulous? Absolutely, its better than anything else I ever tried. I don't even have to set it with a black eye shadow and it stays just fine.
Will my lashes grow?!? I sure hope so....
Until next time.... ta ta!

Yu-Be Review and some thoughts

So I've been using the Yu-Be moisturizer for some time now and I've grown to really liking it. That saying, "A little bit goes a long way" really applies to this. I feel that it has a bigger impact when you apply it on your face and lips as opposed to when you apply it to your hands or body. Its been keeping my face hydrated through these brutal winter days. You can say goodbye to dry, flaky skin! However, if you have oily skin, I wouldn't recommend using this everyday. I have combination skin so I use it mainly on the parts that needs it more. Everyone should go out and grab one!
Until next time.... ta ta!
