This week Rite Aid is having 25% off face skincare products from select brands such as Aveeno, Clean&Clear, Neutrogena and such. Ecstatic, I bought the Aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer with SPF 15 in the 4 fl.oz. The packaging was a lil beat up but it was either this or the one with double the SPF but half the size. I'm all about quantity so it didn't matter that the other one had SPF 30. Which is awful of me to do so but I'm only a college student so I need to get the most bang outta my buck.
Claims:
Clinically proven to even out tone & texture
Its breakthrough formula with exclusive Total
Soy Complex.
RESULTS:
My skin started to get irritated and one of my eyelids got a bit swollen and red, there were just random red itchy spots around the jawline and above my lips. I was like OMG! ahhh i quickly grabbed some makeup remover wipes to wipe my face but then I was just like screw it, and washed my whole face. Immediately I ran back to my Philosophy Hope In a Jar.
PROBLEM?
I recently found out that I get an allergic reaction when I drink soy milk...my throat closes in a bit, making it a lil harder to swallow and in severe cases my bottom lip swells up. It didn't occur to me that the "total Soy complex" was going to cause an allergic reaction on my skin. Damn I really wanted this to work, I've always been a fan of Aveeno and thought this was the solution to my uneven skin tones but sadly I'm allergic :(
I don't like to lose hope in products so easily so I have it a second chance and I tried it again later in the afternoon because I thought maybe my skin was just being weird in the morning but soon enough, itchiness and redness appeared yet again. So ladies and gents, if you're allergic to soy, I
DO NOT recommend you purchasing this product. Until next time...ta ta!
